Wacom Bamboo Fun = Fun!

Yesterday in the middle of a highly hectic and chaotic day I went out and purchased a Wacom Bamboo Fun. I’ve been wanting one for quite some time, but always seem to talk myself out of it – knowing there’s a million better ways to spend the money. The pressure sensitivity part of a tablet is incredible. Line thickness changes with the amount of pressure applied. Last night I spent a good while trying it out and getting used to it. Drawing with it takes a little practice, but eventually I think I got the hang of it.
Use of the tablet isn’t limited to drawing, it’s becoming easier for me to navigate around the desktop and folders of my laptop with it, and it feels much better than a mouse of track-pad. The Bamboo Fun is slim and lightweight, which makes me think I could use it when I’m out and about with my laptop, rather than a wireless (or corded) mouse. The only issue is that it didn’t come with a padded carrying case, which I’m sure I can either make or buy somewhere.
So, even though there may be better financial investments purchasing the tablet really picked my spirits up after a long and challenging day.
